Booking Me –
My Wedding Photography Service Process
When you make a booking with me, we have a number of steps to work through from your initial booking to completion and delivery of your wedding photographs. To offer the best service I can I like to keep in touch with you each step of the way, ensuring a stress free build up to your wedding day, as far as your wedding photographer goes!
Booking the date
Once you have made the decision to book me, I will ask you for a booking fee which saves the date and secures that day. This can be as long as two years in advance on popular summer weekends, so the advice is early booking is recommended. The 20% deposit secures that date exclusively for you and no other bookings or commitments are made once the booking fee is paid.
An initial wedding photography meeting is recommended, however if you are unable to make a date to meet, alternative options such as Skype, FaceTime or email/text work well at this stage. I will send to you a pre-wedding questionnaire to complete which outlines the basics of the day such as confirmed dates, times, location etc. This forms the basis of any discussion we have. As wedding planning is often drawn out, a further questionnaire is sent through approximately 2 months before the wedding which is more in depth in order that I have all of the information regarding your wedding day.
Pre wedding photo shoot
At 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date, the option for a pre wedding photo shoot and consultation is arranged. A pre wedding photo shoot is recommended as there are several benefits to this. We have the opportunity to meet and discuss your plans in detail, along with having a few photographs in a stress free situation. If you’re like me and dislike having your photo taken it’s the ideal way to become more comfortable with being in front of the camera and our interaction helps soothe those nerves.
Prior to the wedding itself, I will make contact with you during the week leading up to the actual date. This is to confirm all plans, times, locations etc. have no changes and ensure all is running smoothly. It is also at this time I will ensure I know the locations by making a visit to them if needs be. This ensures times and preparations go to plan.
Wedding photographs delivery
After the wedding, your photographs are delivered to you in two ways. It usually takes around 2-3 weeks to go through all of your photographs and edit accordingly. This time may be increased by a further week in super busy periods, but I aim for 3 weeks maximum to get your photographs to you. This usually ties in well if you’re honeymooning.
Firstly you will receive your photographs from the day on a secure online gallery. This provides you with the ability to download your photographs to do with as you wish. This is an excellent option for sharing photographs with friends/family and being able to see your photographs. You will have access to your online gallery for a minimum of twelve months. Secondly, once complete your photographs are provided on a USB stick for you to keep. At this stage you can choose to request a photo album of photographs which I will provide an estimate for.
And that’s the wedding photography service process I use. Each step of the way I like to stay in touch with you, providing any support or information I can to you. So, if you are looking to get married and looking for your wedding photographer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d be more than happy to hear from you.
