We've spent a couple of days in London this week and passing by the Houses of Parliament on Monday we noticed a gathering of people with placards and banners looking ready for a protest. I've never had the opportunity to be around a demo to photograph it, but it's one of those things I really want to do.
Anyway, it turns out the protest was for One Day Without Us. February 20th was called as a national day of action to celebrate the contributions of migrants to the UK organised by migrants and non migrants standing together and it appears events were scheduled all around the country and not just in London.
I only managed to shoot a few photographs as my Wife and little one weren't impressed that I wanted to take off from our day of fun to take photos of placard waving people. It was quite fun having the Fuji X-Pro2 and 23mm f/2 lens with me as it meant I could get relatively close to the people without any issue... Here's a couple of photographs from the few minutes I got to take some.
