We have spent the past few days travelling around in Bilbao where the sun shone and the temperatures were really nice for this time of year. Although I’m no street photographer, it’s nice to take some photographs on the street in Bilbao and try where possible to include people, although they often are not the main focus of the photograph.
For me, street photography is a dark art, I am not accomplished sufficiently or brave enough in being able to capture candid photographs close enough of people going about their business, mainly through fear of annoyance I guess. There are plenty of people who can do that far better than me. Instead perhaps some of my photographs can be about the people in street situations, whilst not always concentrating on them – this in some ways I prefer and also has less impact on my ability to capture the person…something I must try more of.
All photographs taken with either my Nikon Df along with either my 35mm f/1.4 or 58mm f/1.4, once again not traditional street photography camera and lenses, but nonetheless worthy options.
