Birmingham is becoming quite a thriving area for art and I was really looking forward to a quick trip to an Arts market held quite close to the city centre today.
In all, I found it to be a bit of an anti-climax. I recognise these events need some traction but I was hoping for more than was really there. A couple of stallholders were really interesting to talk to but on the whole it felt like there could have been a whole lot more.
The surrounding area is a real juxtaposition of art and decay, I love the art murals found on the walls around there along with some of the graffiti on show. Here's hoping the arts fair proved popular and it gains the traction it deserves for next year.
