Day 101/365

Pancake day.... gotta love them with sugar and lemon, I don't really go for anything any more fancy than this if I'm honest.

Day 100/365

Day 100.... Can't believe I've made it this far already, so it seems appropriate that it's a photograph of my lovely Daughter that graces such a landmark.  Only problem is trying to get her to pose for me, so you just have to take those chances when you can.  I quite liked the effect of the light coming in through the blinds of her window... her smiling was just an added bonus!

Day 99/365

A splash of colour on an otherwise drab grey day. Popped down to Malvern today for a wander round and and a breath of fresh air.

Of course a trip to Malvern wouldn't be complete without a photo of a Morgan car, Malvern is the home of the Morgan Motor Car Co. and one was parked in the car park by us, so I duly obliged.  Looking rather lush in that colour too!

Out and about and the sign made me smile... Gate looks well loved too, surprised no-one's had that!

Day 97/365

The day was spent decorating our bedroom, so an early start getting ready for a full on rush to get it all done.  Seems like when we decorate it's not just the walls that get refreshed, everything else seems to as well.

Day 96/365

Storm Doris hit us today.  It's been bad in some parts of the country, but for us it's been a case of rubbish blowing all over thanks to the recycling waste that's collected today being blown everywhere.

Small mercies compared to some of the news stories I've heard about the damage inflicted from Doris' wrath today.

Day 95/365

It's been sat there goading me for the past couple of days, but fortunately I'm too busy for one of life's things I hate most!  The good news is the Wife is on holiday this week, so she gets to spend quality time with her Parents who are excellent decorators whilst I get on with the day job. #result

Day 94/365

Communication is the name of the game. We've been in London for a couple of days and everywhere you go people are on their phones. I can't remember how many times people have bumped into me or I've had to take avoiding action not to run into them as they're too busy looking into the abyss of their little screens.  Whatever did we do without them!

Of course the irony is, the photograph above is shot on my very own iPhone 7!

It's half term for my Daughter so we've booked a hotel for the night and headed to London.

One of the things we've all fancied for a while is a trip on the London Eye so we had a trip on it today. Big bonus was the weather was really good giving us a great view.

Day 92/365

I popped out today to try out an ND filter kit I'd bought cheaply, primarily as I've never used filters before and would really like to do more long exposure photography.  Now, I understand I'm no expert in this, but the results were, let's say disappointing.

Having read some of the reviews of the kit online I was feeling relatively optimistic, however on review of the photos I took, it's fair to say I won't be finding room in the bag for these anytime soon!

Day 91/365

Saturday's follow a similar pattern in our home. A lazy Saturday morning followed by taking my Daughter dancing and then running errands that only ever seem to be able to be done on a weekend day.  This actually proves to be a busy(ish) day and so not much time for photography of any real meaning.

Anyway, at least I got to parade around the house like David Bailey trying out my new 23mm f/2 Fuji lens.  Trying to decide if it's sharp enough or not. But that's a whole technical issue there all in itself.

Day 90/365

It's become a bit of a gear fest this week which the whole point of this 365 is that it isn't and it feels a bit lazy at the moment.

Still nothing like new toys in the house and this new 23mm f/2 is very nice.  Looking forward to giving it a good airing over the next few days too!

Day 89/365

Yet another gear photo I'm afraid... and it's out with the old and in with the new. I made the decision today to update my 23mm lens from the f/1.4 to the f/2.

OK, so in technical terms I lose a bit of light gathering capabilities but I get weather sealing and faster focussing, so it's a trade off.  Great news is I don't really shoot that much wide open at f/1.4 so I'm not really losing much at all.

Day 88/365

I love old film cameras and one of my favourites must be the Olympus Trip 35.  It's such a cutie and packs such a punch for something so small... If only all cameras were this small and cute and good!

Day 87/365

You'll find me close to here most days, in amongst the clutter, trying to get good photographs of my products, trying out new ideas and looking for inspiration... Scary baby in the corner keeping an eye on me too!

Day 86/365

Monday's always a bit of a rush after a weekend, with the Wife off to her exercise class and me trying to get work stuff done and out of the way for the day.  Nothing beats left overs though, especially when it's cold chicken and chips!

Wandered over to Malvern today for a collectors and flea fair, raw to the bone with cold... Not much fun at all, given the wind chill!

Day 84/365

The excitement of the weekends are always palpable to get out and take some photographs, problem is they're usually a disappointment as I'm a rudderless ship when it comes to photography in general.

I need to focus more and find projects to concentrate on!

Day 82/365

I love to do what I do. I sometimes wish I could live all over again so I could make better choices than I did in my younger years.  But of course we can't, we can live each day as we want to though and already it's Thursday and I'm thinking where has the week gone...

Of course, this is all because I love what I do.
